Hazlehurst man arrested on drug, gun charges

HAZLEHURST, GA (WTOC) -

A man was arrested on charges of possession of drugs and a gun during the search of a Hazlehurst home.

The Jeff Davis Sheriff's Office served a search warrant on March 15 at the home of Mako Jones on Ronnie Street.

During the search, deputies found cocaine, drug paraphernalia, prescription medication, a large amount of cash and a gun, according to the sheriff's office.

Jones was arrested on charges of possession of controlled substance, possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
