SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A 60-pound American bulldog Oreo will be banned from Chatham County for the rest of his life, according to an agreement signed Wednesday morning.

The agreement has been signed by the judge and is final. It says Oreo must leave the county and be neutered.

Oreo bit a 6-year-old girl in January when the girl was playing with the dog's food bowl. Since the incident, Oreo has been at the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Animal Control facility.

As a result of the agreement, Oreo's owners have turned him over to the Lexus Project Inc., which represented Oreo in court.

The dog then will go to a rescue organization and they will evaluate him and get him adopted outside the county.
