SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Savannah State University's mass
communications students learned how to be journalists of the future at the 6th
annual Southern Regional Press Institute, which wrapped up Friday with the
Milledge Owens Award Luncheon. The topic at the event was "Media in a Digital
Age: A Changing Landscape." CNN news journalist and anchor of Student News,
Carl Azuz, says the importance of journalism is to know where you came from and
what is ahead.
"They tell you in journalism that
the one thing that is constant is change. So, for this group of students, I am
going to talk to them about how the media, how television media, has changed
over the last, lets say, 60 years," said Azuz.
