BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in a Bluffton neighborhood on Wednesday night.

Sheriff's deputies were called at about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday to the Cinemark theater complex on Buckwalter Pkwy on a report of a robbery that happened earlier in the Westbury Park subdivision.

A 20-year-old Securitas employee told deputies that she was patrolling at 100 Kensington Blvd. when she was approached by two masked men. The suspects brandished handguns and ordered to empty her pockets onto the ground and run away, according to the sheriff's office.

The woman dropped her cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash, then ran to her car and drove to the nearby theater to call for help. She wasn't injured.

The victim described the suspects as tall males with a muscular build. They were wearing all black and white masks over their faces.

Those with information should call Investigator Cpl. J. Moran at 843.255.3422 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843.524.2777.
