Prosecution continues in Effingham Co. murder case

EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

The prosecution continued calling witnesses Thursday in the latest Effingham County murder case. Kevin Johnson is on trial for killing two-year-old Melanie Hayes.

Day two of testimony included a doctor that says Melanie's head injuries were not accidental as Johnson claims but intentionally inflicted.

The case is expected to be handed to the jury Friday.
