SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
AT&T is helping to get some adult
learners back to school. The telecommunications giant donated $50,000 to
Technical College Systems of Georgia to create a GED testing scholarship. The
scholarship will be given to low income students attending a state approved
adult education class. They also must have a score of 500 on each GED practice
exam.
The $50,000 donation will provide a
$65 voucher to 800 Georgians to be used toward the cost of the full GED. Right
now, the test costs $95.
