CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -
A familiar face will be leaving Chatham County Commission and another familiar face hopes to fill his seat.
Last week, Lori Brady, a Savannah-Chatham Board of Education member, announced she will not run for the board again next year.
On Wednesday, she threw her hat in for Chatham County Commission District 6.
By her side was current Commissioner for District 6 David Galletly. He said he plans to step down after his term is over.
Brady is a lifelong resident of Savannah and believes that experience and her will give her an advantage in representing District 6.
"I think I have proven the leadership and I have the experience and I think I know the community and the desires and what the community needs and I'm accessible," Brady said.
She said that if elected, she plans to focus on crime, transportation and taxes.
