SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
The Savannah College of Art and
Design Buzz Bus made a stop at Charles Ellis Montessori School Feb. 10. SCAD
students, faculty and staff volunteers surprised the kids with a variety of art
supplies, including paper, markers, paint and even side walk chalk, all donated
to benefit the school's art program. All of the supplies are being put to use
toward Gallery on 49th Street, an art display by the students and
community members.
"It is exciting. SCAD loves being
able to make students happy and get them excited about art and the things they
can do to be creative and solve problems in the world," said Erina Tandy, SCAD
Director of External Relations.
The SCAD Buzz Bus has made a
positive impact on more than 3,000 Savannah children.
