The ribbon was cut on the new state of the art Child Development Center on Parris Island Jan. 27. With the new center, they will be able to accommodate many more children than their current facility.
They will also save a lot of money on utilities because the building is energy efficient. The energy bill for the year is expected to be around $30 total.
There are a lot of other interesting features in the new facility including a playground made out of more than 31,000 recycled milk jugs.
