Pump and Jump your way to a healthy body. The Pump n' Jump is a workout that can be done anywhere and guarantees results.
Pump n' Jump is resistance training at its best. It's designed to work every muscle group in a specific way and for a specific amount of time, with minimal rest in-between sets. For more on this workout that can be done in group setting or at home we visited Personal Trainer Heath Stubbs at the Richmond Hill YMCA.
Stubbs demonstrates a workout you can do at home or in the gym. Perform each move for 1 minute, with little rest in-between sets. You can perform this circuit up to three times.
- Push Ups
- Running Man
- Squats
- Jump Squats
- Pulsing Squats
- Lunges
- Pulsing lunges-30 seconds on each leg
- Front Plank
- Side planks
This type of boot camp-style workout is usually offered in an intense fun-filled group exercise class, and acts as an alternative to your usual gym workout. It aims to help you lose weight, tone muscle and increase your fitness levels. As a result, you benefit from improved health, increased confidence and a better outlook on life.
