SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Have you ever wanted to train like an athlete? Well you can. WTOC visits D1 sports, where adults are getting the opportunity the experience the same D1 training programs as their pros do.

To be a professional athlete you must train hard, be determined and highly talented.

Rolando Cooper is not a pro athlete, but he has the desire to be faster and stronger and that's what got him motivated to start training at D1 sports.

"The desire to improve on my fitness," said Cooper. "The desire to be better at what I do. To really change my lifestyle, because I was a big coach potato."

Since October, Cooper and his wife have been part of the adult training programs. It's a chance for men and women to be coached like elite athletes.

"When I used to go to the gym, I would quit after a week or so, because it was boring," said Cooper. "This is never boring. It is different every day. I hate it, but it is good for me. Muscles I didn't know existed hurt now, but overall, I am in a lot better shape."

He not only has seen changes in his physical fitness. "It changed my confidence a lot," said Cooper. "It has made be more efficient with my day. I am a lot more energetic. I have a better attitude. I feel better. I don't feel so tired."

His coach Sara Henderson runs the morning workouts. She said getting fit is a team effort and everyone looks out for one another.

"We really want to offer something for them because it's not very often you can go to a gym and get something like this. The comradery you have here," said Henderson. "People will push you, if you don't show up one day. People will say where have you been? You just have that group effort."

It inspires Cooper to push himself harder every day.

"I lost 15 pounds," said Cooper. "I used to eat five doughnuts every night. Between good workouts and positive motivation, I am doing well. I lost a lot of weight happy about that."

Cooper and his teammates are showing there are no limits when you want to make a change in your life.

You can train like an athlete for free. D1 sports is having a free training day on July 28.
