Sailors from Beaufort's Naval Hospital have set-sail for a key humanitarian mission. These great Navy men and women, all trained medical and dental specialists, will deploy for 6-months to bring basic care to many in-need in South America. Said one of the team's members: "It makes my heart warm to be able to help somebody, especially when they don't have the resources." Others echoed just how much being able to provide basic healthcare assistance on a humanitarian mission means to them.
Our thanks to these 24, fine, Beaufort-based Navy members, for their strong commitment to serve our nation, and their enthusiasm for putting their health-services training into practice as visible, positives ambassadors for this, the greatest nation and most-compassionate military on earth.
