New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg supports construction of a huge Islamic mosque near Ground Zero, where zealots savagely murdered 3-thousand people.  Said he, it's a (quote): ‘test of the separation of church and state." That's profoundly-ridiculous, unless one assumes Islam is simply a religion, and not a repressive, Shira-law-driven, autocratic ruling-system.  Despite major citizen opposition, which the flurry of post-2008 political sucker-punches have taught us means nothing to current royalty, the Mayor then said (quote): "caving to popular sentiment would hand victory to the terrorists." Imposing a dab of logic on that shop-vac'd thought, it's not rejecting the mosque, but rather, permitting it near our sacred site, that provides a huge, symbolic victory for Islam, reinforcing their historic practice of building mega-mosques in the heart of conquered enemy lands, rubbing defeat in the face of the vanquished, certainly their wish for our future, while in the meantime, making America look stupid and weak.

Meanwhile, while hosting a White House dinner last Friday, to celebrate  Ramadan, the Islamic holy season, by invoking terms like equality, tolerance and religious freedom, when speaking of the mosque issue, the President seemed to be advocating in favor of it, as if where radical butchers attacked our nation wasn't a factor in land-use.  Fact: The 9/11 attack on our nation was an act of war.  Now, do Islamic property-owners have the legal right to build near that site? Yes.  Is purposefully ignoring the feelings of victim's families, and those of the American majority the right thing to do?  Definitely not.  If this mosque is to be built, land elsewhere should be sought.  Proponents speak of tolerance and sensitivity.  Perhaps this is the right time, and place, for Islamic interests to exhibit the same.
