Two great young ladies recently received a very special honor. Girl Scouts Jessica Hayman and Elizabeth Cross were presented the organization's Gold Award, the highest honor attainable in Girl Scouting. The ceremony took place here in Savannah at the group's historic first national headquarters. All the more special since a group of Girl Scouts visiting from Texas were able to participate in this nationally-recognized award presentation, since neither Jessica nor Elizabeth were able to attend the original ceremony scheduled elsewhere back in March.
Our congratulations to Jessica Hayman and Elizabeth Cross for the effort and commitment it takes to strive for, and then, actually reach the top, as with any goal worth achieving. You've made your parents, fellow Girl Scouts, classmates, friends, and your community very proud.
