The NAACP has a proud history through its decades of helping to elevate equal-opportunity from parchment to reality, evidenced by today's organizations, professions, and work places. That's why it's sad to see the national NAACP's legacy tarnished by its recent claim of "racist elements" within the limited-government/ individual-rights concept called "Tea Parties," with no factual proof forthcoming involving legitimate rally attendees, versus liberal-plants. Basic to the radical playbook is the advice to verbally attack, degrade, and marginalize those in the way of socio-economic revolution. Standing in opposition to the charge, former-insider, the Reverend C.L. Bryant, once head of the Garland, Texas NAACP chapter, now a vocal Tea Party supporter, who called the racist label (quote), "simply a lie." Months back, a female reporter asked a Black gentleman attending a Tea Party rally if he felt uncomfortable being there. To which this patriot responded: "Why should I. I'm an American." An answer likely transforming that lib-reporter's panties into an irretrievable wad. Sadly, then, it appears, the national NAACP is being used by those in D.C., now desperate to preserve their freedom-destroying power. Also, perhaps of questionable help, the Islamic-American relations group, CAIR, has come out in support of the NAACP's position.
Today, the vast majority of Americans, rightly-disregard skin-tone, working and interacting comfortably together, to provide for their families, better their communities, and preserve our nation. Decades ago, the remarkable Dr. King told us he hoped one day, we'd judge people by their character, not color. Most of us already do. If only those self-adoring few, on the race-relations fringe, could accept reality, and catch-up with the rest of America.
