Stupidity Reigns Supreme (Part 8)
Unending stupidity, like Yellowstone's Old Faithful, bursts through the earth's surface with predictability, mystifying all who surround. The Senior Citizens Center in Port Wentworth experienced such brain cell depletion, when someone apparently got their panties or boxers in a wad because lunch-time guests at the Center chose to pray before their meal, considered a violation of state regulations for such government-funded seniors facilities. Georgia policy prohibits (quote) "formal religious worship," which to rational folks, means a structured service, not giving brief thanks for a meal, by an age-group for whom prayer is especially important. P.C. run amuck, clearly not the fault of Senior Citizens, Inc., but rather of secular-driven laws, based on false First Amendment conclusions. Pressed by media and politicians, Georgia, to its credit, quickly relented, changing policy to permit meal-time prayer. That's a rare win for praying (with an "a)," against government's incessant preying (with an "e") upon the visible presence, symbols and practices of the Christian and Jewish faiths.
Then, also bowing to the false idol of political correctness, administrators at a California high school, sent five students home for wearing American flag t-shirts on the 5th of May, a day for celebrating Mexican culture here. Forgetting the pre-eminence of our flag, the apparent concern was that those shirts might offend Mexican-heritage students, leading to trouble. Now, there's nothing wrong with sane celebrations of heritage pride. Virtually everyone of us can trace our background to some other place, but above it all, true Americans must exhibit, without exception, total loyalty to, and love for, our beautiful flag and great nation. If that's a burden, then be gone. Someone who truly yearns to be here is longing for the blessing of filling your spot.
