Paula Deen Tour Celebrates 50,000 Customers, $50,000 to Charity

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - It's been three years since "The Paula Deen Tour" kicked off in Savannah. The tour shuttles visitors around Savannah, hitting the important spots in "The Lady's" climb from bag lunches to food superstar.

Along the way, Uncle Bubba's Seafood on the islands and today, Old Savannah Tours and Uncle Bubba surprised Sharon Yuninger from Port Richie, Florida. She was presented as the 50,000th person on the tour.

Uncle Bubba himself gave her a gift basket and a kiss. Even more importantly, Old Savannah Tours donates one dollar from every tour to charity.

"Bethesda Home for Boys and Safe Shelter are two of Paula's favorite charities in Savannah," Jim Lucas, GM of Old Savannah Tours, told WTOC.  "She wanted to give back to the community and we thought this was a great way through the tour."
